Fes to Marrakesh is a great way to experience the most of southern Morocco. It will allow you to travel through the South of Morocco’s kingdom, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains, enjoying the Ziz gorge and valley, camel trek in Erg Chebbi dunes with a local camel guide and watch the sunset and sunrise in the next morning. Dine under the stars and listen to the sound of the drums beating and spend a night in a nomad tent. You will see also Todra gorges, Valley of roses, visit the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, and cross the high Atlas mountains before reaching Marrakech.
Day 1 | Fez to Merzouga
After breakfast, your tour will to the desert start by discovering the middle Atlas, until the village of Midelt with an altitude of 4881 ft (1488m). You will continue your trip to the amazing Ziz Gorges before reaching Errachidia; a small city located at the desert entrance, after that, we will pass through Erfoud before arriving at Merzouga at the end of the afternoon. The camels will be at your disposition for a ride among the Dunes of Erg Chebbi to live the sunset before arriving to the Nomad camp where you will have a typical diner and enjoy the popular music of the region also called Touareg’s music. Night in a Berber tent.
Day 2 | Merzouga to Boumalne Dades
An early wake up to enjoy a unique sunrise as well as the dunes’ colors. Coming back to the hotel by camel to take have shower and breakfast, then your destination will be Todra Gorges; one of the beautiful sights of the Atlas. Some stops will take place to do some photos and enjoy the Mountains, after that you will continue the road towards Boumalne Dades; a road which is known for its Kasbahs and Ksours which were constructed at the heart of small villages that give an amazing contrast of colors that the amateurs of nature do not let it down. Arrival at the hotel, dinner, and breakfast.
Day 3 | Boumalne Dades to Marrakech
After breakfast in Dades valley, you will leave this marvelous place for a departure towards Marrakech, passing throughout the Roses valley Kalat Mgouna where you’ll stop to enjoy this place known for its roses, and its derived products and the road of million Kasbahs. Amazing houses were built along the road which looks like ancient castles. Then, you continue your journey in the direction of the Skoura region to visit its Kasbahs before continuing to Ouarzazate; the desert’s door which housed the well-known studios of cinema and where famous Hollywood stars filmed their masterpieces. After visiting the studios of cinema, you will discover the Taourirt Kasbah then you will continue the road to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah as a Unesco heritage. then we proceed to through the Atlas Mountains via Tizi-n-Tichka pass (2,260m) towards Marrakech, the southern pearl of Morocco. You will be taken to your hotel/riad in Marrakesh for a restful evening.
