On this 5 day Sahara Desert tour from Essaouira you will live the life of a nomad in the Sahara desert and spend a night under the stars in an authentic nomadic tent in the desert and you will also get to ride majestic camels across the old caravan routes. You will Explore the coastal cities of Agadir, Taroudant, Taliouine, Agdez, Zagora, Ouarzazate, Kasbah Aït Benhaddou and Marrakesh.
Day 1 | Essaouira – Agadir – Taroudant
On Day 1 we depart early from Agadir and then we cross the Anti- Atlas Mountains passing the beautiful Argan groves. The road up the Atlantic coast passes through the fishing village of Taghazout before our final destination of Agdir. Panoramic tour of Agadir then continue to Taroudant, known as “the little Marrakesh” for its ramparts and medina. Visit the silver souk, lunch at your own. Dinner & night in Taroudant.
Day 2 | Taroudant-Taliouine -Taznakht – Agdez – Zagora
After an early breakfast, we depart to Taliouine the capital of Saffron and continue to Taznakht famous for its Berber carpets, then head to Zagora via Agdez and the Draa valley.
Day 3 | Zagora – M’Hamid- Bivouac Erg Lihoudi
After breakfast, you will be taken on a relaxing walking tour in the oasis or you will be allowed to stay relaxing on side pool hotel, in Zagora. This will be the last ATM before the desert, lunch and drive south to M’Hamid village where the road stop, then continue by 4×4 or camel at the bivouac, far away from civilization. Spend a night in nomadic Berbers tent camp. Dinner under the stars around a warm fire camp.
Day 4 | Bivouac – Zagora – Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Benhaddou
After breakfast we continue on to Ouarzazate the desert gate and the Moroccan Hollywood famous for its 3 films studios. We travel via a lunar landscape and visit water sources which only the natives of these places know. Arrival and after lunch, visit the cinema museum, one of the 3 films studio, continue to Ksar Ait Benhaddou a Unesco World Heritage site, it becomes famous due to its role in hosting numerous films such as: Game of the thrones, The man who would be King, Gladiator. Dinner & night at Aït Benhaddou
Day 5 | Aït Benhaddou – Marrakesh – Essaouira
After breakfast, we travel to Marrakesh, cross a High Atlas mountains via Tichka pass, discover Berbers village,, optional lunch and historical monuments. Our last stop before returning to your hotel is Essaouira.
